FACT DO NOT TRUST THE INFORMATION OUT THERE!
Most traders lose because of two things, knowledge and indicators.
In spite of what we have been told and may have read indicators are definately not the answer to trading, MACD, Stocastics are all useless and its been shown to me in a test conducted on another website to actually lose you money.
There are some indicators that are better than others, these are SAR and moving average cross over system...but and its a big but, you have to set them up correctly. The analysis I read was on a 3o min chart and what the chap who did the testing found out, was that simple MA are the best to use and you can use any ma you want as long as the ratio is 1.7 time, so if one is a 10 period MA the other needs to be a 17 period. The SAR can be used in its standard settings in Metatrader.
The place I am starting my analysis now is the daily chart, I also keep one ear to the ground regarding fundemental news, something I never did before. In the next blog I will discuss why I chose the trades I did in order to help people here become better traders.
