Trdelnik
First time I tried trdelnik was in Hungary some years ago and it wasn't as good as the one I ate in Prague some days ago. They are made as you roll the dough and wrap it around the stick (which they call a trdlo), sprinkle it with a sugar and spice mixture and then they are set over the flames to cook. The dough itself isn't actually all that sweet, but the outside has a really lovely, caramelized richness and aromas of burnt sugar. The one I chose was filled with nutella and strawberries that had a soft cream and strawberry at the top.
