Hi everybody,
I am Nguyen Thanh Phu, I’m from Vietnam.
I’m very happy when I took third place in the March trader contest with nick name RichieCurrency.
Today, I want to talk about my trading strategies and principles that lead me to success in the contest.
I started with the financial market from 2008. Up to now, I have over 6 year - experience in this market.
The early days, I traded in Viet Nam Stock Market. Then I traded in the Gold market, and Forex market.
In the domestic gold market, I succeed with arbitrage strategies. At that time, in my country, you can do that because it having a big
gap between domestic gold price and world gold price.
The world gold price always go faster than domestic gold price, so the gap was created, and you could trade to get profit immediately.
I often use FA and TA in my analyzing. FA mean: Fundamental Analysis. TA mean:Technical Analysis
In my opinion, in the stock market, FA is more important than TA because FA help me to find a good company and TA may be support me to find the reasonable price.
However, in the Foreign exchange market, I think TA is being used mostly because in this market, I don’t have a lot of information. So TA will help me a lot
Some TA indicator, which I often use are Candle Stick, Bollingerbands, Stochastic and Fibonacci
My TA is very simple. I often use 2-3 TA indicators for myanalysis.
About trader contest, following principles that lead me tosuccess:
Performance is the most important score, it depend on my trading result. My trading rule is: “Just action don’t predict” that mean you should action depend on signals of indicators. The same rule in TA is “Trade what you see, don’t trade what you think”
In addition, to get high score of Order Quality, I always open position with condition order, and pay attention to the end-of-week leverage each Friday.
