Beginning of the week, beginning of the month, beginning of this month’s competition; end of the year. There must be some significance here and, possibly, mystery as well. But by far the biggest mystery for me remains the fact that nobody seems able to take top spot twice in a row. The mystery is in why, if a system works spectacularly one month, it wont work again in the same way the following month, taking into account the fact that forex trading patterns are repetitive? One day, I am sure, the mystery will be revealed to me. So where can one expect big action early in the week? The USD/RUB pair maybe. Many eyes seem trained on this pair, with sentiment largely bullish. And therein lays the risk and danger. The pair seems over-extended, and the gradient is steep.
