Just now, all signal is poiting to JPY appreciation ! we can see it with Elliot "Wave 3" and we can see as well, because it touched support and passed it .
Abandoning USD JPY is not a good idea ! because sometimes it show us excelente oportunitie to earn money with USD/JPY (like now , for instance).
