Even though the flash crash in pound pairs came as surprise, I should have known better and avoided long pound positions when there was a clear momentum to the downside in Cable amid bearish fundamentals and lack of compelling technical support. My first AUD/USD trade should have been exited earlier and the second one avoided, as it became evident that the pair won't break above 0.77 just yet.
Technical Analysis Contest
After the conclusion of the August Technical Analysis Contest, I knew that I had good chances for a top 5 or maybe a top 3 place. When I found myself right at the top, my reaction was of course surprise but also joy because I didn't have a very good year in the contest and this month really paid it all off. With only a 2 point difference between the 1st and the 5th place, luck definitely played a big part but my prediction and regular updates to it were awarded with 15 quality and 10 bonus points. I would like to thank to Dukascopy and to all DFC members that supported me!
