Yesterday I could not stop myself from trading and it almost cost me a lot
I would short Euro/Usd, and two Euro crosses Eur/Aud and Eur/Nzd,
and also Gbp/Aud and Gbp/Nzd yesterday afternoon largely because I was looking for a final opportunity to gain second place
in performance points, and my initial plan to short Usd/Jpy around 105 seemed out of the picture
as I don't think the pair will get there this year the way it has stalled

The reason for these trades is my technical analysis on Eur/Usd and Gbp/Usd,
after the huge daily bearish candle in Eur/Usd I figured this was just retracement back to 1.37 area
and the pair would now continue its way down again
The reason why I am bearish Gbp/Usd can be found in my article for this month:
https://www.dukascopy.com/fxcomm/fx-article-contest/?Huge-Trading-Opportunity-In-GBP&action=read&id=1509

I shorted the crosses because I know that they usually move more, and faster than the majors,
and I wanted a quick in-out to gain the profits I required
Nzd in particular went the wrong way for - gaining ground against Eur and Gbp quickly
I lost around $35.000 - clearly I should have analysed these pairs too,
because Eur/Usd, and Gbp/Usd were going down, while the crosses went the other way
---- lesson learnt

I noticed that Usd/Jpy had retraced to around 103.7, which is fibonacci support area from last weeks move up,
and it was showing strength moving towards previous highs,
so I decided that it might have at least a go getting towards the 105 target area before the new year,
and all the crosses like Gbp/Jpy, Eur/Jpy etc would follow

So, I went long Usd/Jpy, Gbp/Jpy, Eur/Jpy, Chf/Jpy, and Aud/Jpy - all 50 lots,
I made around $50.000 on these trades, and thankfully I got out in time this morning
before it retraced back down again

I was happy to have gained around $15.000 altogether, although it was not enough,
and I was planning to do some scalping tonight .....

But for now I seem alright - I am number two now - and I will see if I can do something after Xmas

For now, I wish you all a very Merry Xmas and a happy New (Trading) Year
