There are certain aspects of this competition whose fairness I am beginning to doubt. Such as this blogging thing. I thought one could get points for blogging on anything that has to do with the competition or their trading. I posted two posts on my blog yesterday, and although I don't claim to be the sharpest knife in the drawer on this forum when it comes to the blogging, I at least expected a point from one of the blogs. But no point was awarded. I checked to see the content and quality of the blogs of certain other competitors who had been awarded points and didn't see any difference between their approach and mine.

Others are even getting points for dumping non-original material on their blogs. Maybe its just me but something just doesnt seem right about the way these blogging points are being awarded. Add to this the fact that often at the start of the competition the platform doesnt start working at the same time for everybody. Twice at the start of the competition this year (after midnight where I live) I have found the platform frozen and unresponsive. On enquiring through chat on what was happening I was advised to wait until 0700GMT as that was when the platform would be opened. Yet others where already trading. When I asked why this was so I was told to get in touch with contest@dukascopy.com Then I tried the platform a few hours later, way before 0700GMT, and it was working. No logical explanation given upon further enquiry regarding the apparent inconsistencies.

Just uneasy.
