how to calculate pips for Japanese Yen cross?
for the other currency it's quite easy..let say,GBP/USD
1.6280-1.6230=50pips..
but for the Yen currency,how do we calculate it?
let say..
145.15-143.65=?
thanks..
The xxxJPY pairs only have 2 digits to the right of the decimal. If a third digit exists, it is often referred to as a "fractional pip."
Be careful though! The definition of a pip is the smallest incremental movement and that extra decimal may be referred to as a pip by some brokers. Although confusing, they have every right to do this and are technically correct. You should discuss this with your broker specifically.
