Is it true that You will be forced to open live account in Dukascopy Bank and pay initial deposit of 5.000 USD?
Once you win prize in any contest, then your account manager will contact you by
e-mail with all procedure to open live account. You will fill all forms and after signing it, you have to send it to Geneva office in hard copy. Once they will receive your documents, they will create a live account and then credit your prize money.
And FYI, Dukascopy never force anyone to deposit 5000 USD in their live account before start trading, and initial deposit is applicable only for those retail traders who is opening a new account without winning any prize in contest. Even you win 100 USD, you will be asked to open live account without any initial deposit.
They don't put it to EU. They put it to Bank. But they don't force you pay anything. You just get a welcome bonus on the account - the prize you won.

Excerpt from the most recent version of "Prizes and Awarding Rules":
"If Participant does not have a live account with Dukascopy, then he/she should proceed to the live account opening procedure in a regular way. If Participant does not comply with live account opening requirements, Dukascopy reserves the right to cancel the cash prize.
Cash prizes may be credited only to a live sub-account open with Dukascopy in the name of the relevant Participant.
LIVE accounts which are credited with prize money are considered LIVE Prize accounts. LIVE Prize accounts can be credited only with cash prize money. Clients are not allowed crediting their own funds on this type of account."

BTW, You can open a LIVE Prize account and deposit your cash prize, even if it's less than minimum deposit requirement.
