It is an important indicator to measure the housing Market in New Zealand. Through the lower interest rates in the past few years the housing Market in New Zealand got attractive. There is a lot of tourism and also finance which increase further the demand for houses. The indicator is very unstable, last reading was surprisingly drop of -1.8 %. This time I think approval will be positive again. The drop was mainly because of the very strong number of 14 % in March.

Labour Market is next to inflation one of the most important readings for the bank of Japan for future development. Japan is a very well developped Economy and the unemplomyent rate is very low. Since the financial crisis it has dropped of over 5.5 % to the low now of around 2.8 %. Japan is very close to full employment. Because of people getting older, the particpation Rate is shrinking. However there is no sign on the horizon, that this low unemployment rate will change.

It shows the change of new buildings approval in Australia. Construction is about 9 % of the economy, it matters not so much. Throughout this year the indicator surprised to the upside, but last time there was a very bad print with -13.4 %. There are seasonal issues and probably also lower demand and slightly higher interest rates which could caused this drop. The forecast for this time of 3.2 % seems to high as the Australian Economy still suffers from many problems like low mining and steel prices.

Europe is service based economy, therefore the impact ot the indicator is very low. Industry is only about 25 % where service is 73 %. The industrial sector has benefited from the low euro in the Eurozone. However the strenghtening of the Euro may make the eurozone less competitive. The confidence last time still improved which should continue.

Personal Spending gets released with Personal Income and the impact of the indicator is not very big. However it gives further insight to consumer spending in the world largest Economy. Bad Retail Sales number showed that the US consumer spending slows. I think this trend will continue.
