Observation around buy stops and sell stops
I have been shopping my strategy around to a couple of hedge funds here in NYC today. I was asked why my system has experienced such amazing success since I have gone live. After giving this considerable thought I said it's all about buy and sell stops. I can't explain why it works it just does. I mean if I open a market order instead it will always move against me. I love to paint. So, while my app is waiting to make a trade I pass the time painting. This is one of my favorites. I named it Lyme Brain. I have been treating Lyme Disease for the last 18 agonizing months.
The powerful yen
How confounding is the yen? When everyone and their brother is saying the yen will bust through 100 it continues to strengthen. Not to mention the rogue hedge fund genius in Texas, Bass is his name, I think, is talking about usdjpy in the mid 200's and indeed, the collapse of the japanese economy. No matter, the yen has a 97 handle. Baffling, to say the least.
