New Week Opening Gaps?

I’m wondering if we are going to see big price gaps when the market opens again tomorrow.
In the last hours of NY session, the equities rebounded sharply along with yen and dollar losing some of their gains, but I don’t think this is over. While not exactly a panic, market moves showed a flight to safety. Yen Strength

I left my EUR/JPY position opened over the weekend anticipating that the pair might open much lower after the weekend but it didn't materialize. It was GBP/JPY that tanked along with GBP/USD soon after the FX markets opened this Monday. As for USD/JPY it keeps oscillating between 111.90 and 112.30. At this point opening any positions is out of the question and I would only consider going short if there were clear signs on the charts that pull backs have completed.

"Fairly Soon" Won't Come Soon Enough

Well, many traders have been asking themselves how soon is "fairly soon" - the key phrase in FOMC Minutes, but the market has already provided us with an answer. Anemic Dollar versus Yen.

USD\JPY acts in a very anemic manner today and so far it seems to have much less steem than had yesterday. I think the pair will continue trading its short term new range between 119.30 & 120.46.
I would love to buy into a long position below 119.50 and hopefully good NFP will push it high. But till then, I'm afraid whenever it reaches 120.30-40 level sellers will surface to push it back below.
