Hello Friends ,
I am writing this blog to share views on my winning strategy San_new. I am glad that I could make out in top 3 in strategy contest for August month.
It is very well known in the trader community that moving averages hold a major place in the trading tool box , thus I have taken this into consideration and planned my strategy accordingly. In this strategy , I have used EMA(5) and EMA(13) as exponential moving average captures any reversal in trend quicker then slow moving averages…

I thought I saw a chance to climb the ranking of the trader contest yesterday
Yesterday I noticed that I was placed number 3 in the contest
and the number 2 only had 1 or 2 more points than me
I saw a chance to grab the second place
so I executed a couple of trades I had been looking at for a few days
but were a bit risky - but now was the time to take that risk
I went short GbpUsd and Gbp crosses, and long UsdChf above support

Plan working out well yesterday

My plan to get into the top 3 of the trader contest yesterday worked out well
I had the feeling UsdJpy and other crosses would rise from lows yesterday
I was buying UsdJpy, UsdChf, UsdCad, UsdSek and UsdNok after pullback, and before data release yesterday
I closed out profit on UsdCad and UsdNok just before release,
and after data proved good - I closed the rest of the positions shortly after release
I managed to gain about 50K this way, without risking too much
