Congrats Dukascopy
Congratulations are in order to the Dukascopy Live Trader Contest team for publishing the results of last week's competition on Monday 7 September. I think this is the first time this has happened in my 10years with Dukascopy. So thanks Dukascopy for that and the work that went into ensuring that the results could be published this fast. This is how as it should be. Looking forward to more improvements.

As we begin another contest week, I take my hat off to those who are constantly in the rankings! This means they have largely figured out how to trade most market conditions on the instruments they trade, using their style of trading. THAT is no mean feat, and is to be applauded. I look forward, however, to a time when one contestant can be Number 1 four weeks in a row. To see that would, for me, be a great spectacle that would remind me of no other!!

Need to take into account contest starting amount?
I find this contest exciting and engaging but it seems to me that the amount one starts the contest with at the beginning of the week needs to be factored into the calculation of the profitability percentage. Here is what I have observed. The smaller the amount one starts the contest with, the better their chances of winning by a greater percentage. In other words, one who starts the contest on $1 has a better and quicker chance of getting to 100% by just adding another $1 to the starting amount…
