Canadian dollar could extend gains this week
Canadian dollar has seen some relief on prospects for NAFTA deal to be announced as early as next week. USD/CAD is testing waters below the neckline of the head and shoulders pattern on the daily chart. A successful break would target 1.25. Initial resistance is at 1.28 and stronger one near 1.285.
EURo lower to start the week
Euro opened marginally lower today with Catalan crisis still simmering. ECB meet this week and are expected to scale down asset purchase program while extending it through the next six or nine months. A dovish surprise seems more likely than a hawkish one.
50 DMA is acting as a resistance since late September. Potential head and shoulders top with the neckline near 1.17 projects towards 1.13. The neckline is reinforced by 100 DMA ahead of the next stronger support at 1.1615.

Yen still contained
The Yen continues to make lower lows and lower highs. Today, it briefly traded below August 2015 low (~116.20) and pierced 116 level which is an upper extreme of a strong 115.5 - 116 support zone.
The support zone is a neckline of a big head and shoulders pattern on the weekly chart. If it gives way, measured move would target 105 - 107 which also includes 38.2% retracement of the 2011 - 2015 uptrend (~106.65), 2013 high (~105.5) and October 2014 low (~105.2).
