February's Goals

My goal for this month would be to repeat my performance from previous month which is to get back in top 10. It will be nice if I can reach rank number 1 but my priority is going to trade defensively. I've observed that now in order to win the Trader Contest you need to also have either the first or the second account balance so I understand that it's much tougher to get the first place.

New Month, New Goals

The plan for current month is to manage to get in top 10, even thought over the past few months I've failed miserably in producing any good results I'm still pretty much confident that I can make it back in the top rank. I have to agree with you but then again I am not really fond of this blogging feature in Trader contest. The contest is about getting the best trader so emphasis should be given more on trading skills not on writing skills. Maybe they can implement points based on number of positive/negative trades.

shanziester Thanks for your feedback. I on the other hand I can see the merits of blogging and I think is a good thing they got this new feature. However currently I lack the motivation in continuing to write  high quality post when I can post the same thing that everyone else is posting and get the same points. Maybe if they decide to give half a point for low quality blog post this will force the community members to step up their game.

I just want to take the time to wish you all a great 2015 and as the new year marks for a new beginning wish you all a new fresh start.
My goal for 2015 is:
  1. To accomplish the goals of 2014;
  2. Which I should have done in 2013;
  3. Because I made a promise in 2012;
  4. And planned in 2011.

The market has been teaching us a great deal in 2014 as the environment has changed a lot, I only hope I can apply everything I've learned in the coming year.

I've been performing poorly this year in the Trader Contest without having much changes to gain any top spot in rank, so I guess it's time to step up my game and approach the Contest differently this month. Last month was a month with mixed results for me as I wasn't trading on my full capacity. After every winner trade I made a losing trade and as you may guess my account couldn't grow. The only positive thing is the fact that I was still able to keep the account in positive territory $130K.
