"Trolltunga" is a stone ledge on the Skjeggedal cliff, very reminiscent of a sharp tongue shape. A long time ago this block of stone broke away from the rocks, and rejected, hung on its edge in a horizontal position at a height of 350 meters above the river. Now, under the "trolltunga" ledge is artificially created (as a result of the river dam) Ringedalsvatnet lake.

There are beautiful views of the high mountain ranges from "trolltunga" - blue Ringedalsvatnet lake and great pictures. It is not known for what reason tourists climb the ledge - to watch all the extraordinary beauty from such a height or to feel some adrenaline, being on the bench and risking their life, because no one knows when this part of the rock will fall down. Moreover people are not only to simply stand on the edge, but manage to jump from it, and sometimes even an entire company!
