Today my task is to deliver a monologue of wealthy but unscrupulous broker Gordon Gekko, his motto "Greed is good", which is from a movie "Wall street".
Why I would love to give this monologue because I find what Gordon Gekko said is engrossing. I always believe that being greedy is the motivation of being success. Once you have the desire, it propels you to strive for the goal. If you are fully satisfied with your current situation, you won’t be able to make progress or improve. Too much contentment makes you a laid-back person.
One of my friends in the community is dying to be a billionaire. Even I always tease him, “In you dream”. But I do appreciate people who is greedy and aims high. I guess most of the successful traders are driven by greed. Greed is right. Greed works. Greed matter the most on the way to success.
“Today, management has no stake in the company! The point is, ladies and gentleman, is that greed - for lack of a better word - is good. Greed is right. Greed works. Greed clarifies, cuts through and captures the essence of the evolutionary spirit. Greed, in all of its forms - greed for life, for money, for love, knowledge - has marked the upward surge of mankind. And Greed - you mark my words - will not only save Teldar Paper but that other malfunctioning corporation called the USA.
