In the upcoming December 2013 update, the display name of the Dukascopy Poker in-game currency will be changed from “EUR” to “PKR” so that the abbreviation will be closer to PokerCredits and will not have similarities to real world major currencies.

Existing Poker Credits will be denominated by 1,000 units. After the patch deployment all of the existing player balances will see a decrease by a multiple of 1,000. For example if player had 29,653 poker credits, after the update your account will show 29,65 PKR.

Poker Credits will no longer be given out to newly registered players.

There will be several ways to obtain Poker Credits. One of them will be the participation in the Daily, Weekly and newly introduced GrandPrix tournaments. The PKR pay out structures will be more than generous – PKR payouts will start from 20th or 25th, but of ‘course the amounts will be distributed according to world known sense of Prize distribution. Tournament payout structures will be available later.

Another way of obtaining PKR’s will be via specific Lottery participation. The last but not the least way of acquiring PKR’s will be by taking it from other Dukascopy Poker participants via Poker challenge in numerous Poker game types. More info about additional challenges will be available later.

Why would you need the PKR’s? The in-game currency will be used for securing your sit at the table for participation in the Weekly and GrandPrix tournaments with whooping Cash Prizes, as well as Cash and Sit&Go games, plus one more reason which will be revealed next year!

Information about upcoming Tournament Structure changes will be posted tomorrow Friday 22 Nov 2013.
