I am a game designer. But I do not work on computer games. Maybe you never heard of this hobby before, but in some countries of the world, there are grown up men who like to play with metal or plastic figurines on large tables, with objects representing hills, rivers and woods. This is called miniature wargaming. It is part game, part tactical simulation.

People need rules to play these games, and often roll dice to determine the results of actions. For example, to see if a soldier will hit the enemy or miss, you will roll a die. The better trained soldiers will need to roll low to hit, the badly trained soldiers will need to roll high.

I am an author of these games. My better known games are Song of Blades and Heroes, Of Gods and Mortals, A Fistful of Kung Fu, but I wrote many. This is my full time job and I'm very happy to do that.

I sell my rules on www.ganeshagames.net. With a friend, I have recently started a very successful production of miniatures (metal figures) for my best selling game. You can see them on songofblades.com

On many of these games, I do not only write the rules, but I also paint the covers and the illustrations.

So basically I'm a lucky guy who gets to invent games, make art, play and paint as a living.
