GOOD MORNING ALL !!

I am regularly following a four meal plan daily.
1. Breakfast in the morning around 9 am..
2. Lunch in the afternoon around 1 pm.
3. Evening snacks around 6 o' clock.
4. Dinner around 9 pm.

Eating in small portions helps in proper digestion and keeps you light and with full of energy.



Today I have decided to write about Indian food habits.

SITTING ON THE FLOOR
In the ancient India people used to sit on floor while having meal. Nowadays most people use dining tables for having food.
These habit of sitting on floor have some advantage as per the experts. Sitting on the floor cross legged is typically a yogic posture called sukhasana. Which is assumed to massage abdominal muscles, boos circulation in lower part of body and helps in increasing flexibility.



MORNING BREAKFAST
Eating right some time after wake up is healthy habit. As body needs nutrition after long rest and delaying breakfast may add to your weight gain. As per modern nutritionist Eating within 15 minutes minutes of wake up may help you lose weight.

DON'T TALK WHILE YOU EAT

Talking while eating may lead to choking or you may hurriedly gulp your food without chewing. Modern nutrition scientists believe that chewing food well enables in proper digestion.

EAT FRESH FOOD
If possible consume food within four of preparing eat to gain maximum benefit out of it. As food starts loosing nutrition after the preparation.

EARLY DINNER

The more early you finish with your dinner, more time your body has to digest it before it goes to rest when you sleep. This practice prevents body from piling weight. Eating late can also impact your sleep.

EATING FOOD WITH HANDS
Eating with hands is extremely healthy. According to Ayurveda in India, when we put food in our mouth through our hand, the five fingers together form a yogic mudra which activates sensory organs that keep prana in balance. Other reason is when we touch food to eat brain sends signal to body to release digestive juices . So try food with your hands.
