A Stranger At The Other Side Of The Wall
The same day we planted the sapling,water pistol shooting was arranged. The problem was to find a stranger in the island. It is very rarely that an outsider comes to stay in the island. So we both planned something to overcome this. As some one approaches the corner of the wall, Sitham would show me a signal. Sitham might know who the passerby was but I would not,as I was standing inside the wall.


I was ready with my heavy pistol and sooner than later, the thumbs up came and I shot the water cannonross the wall. Then, to my surprise, there was a chuckle immediately after this. it was Sitham. He could not suppress his amusement as he saw the boy who was passing by,just scampered to avoid the water drops. (Sitham enacted that part with lot of excitement, he told me that it was a grade 12 student who was staying a few crosses away from our spot). I thought my young friend had inadvertently revealed my plan in his excitement. But nothing followed as the boy might have thought that someone was watering the plants.
