With the beginning of the new year and following the holidays every one is starting to plan how to detox the own body from the delicious food . In this relation I decided to share a list with my lovely foods- called also superfoods. They are not only delicious but also healthy and dietetic, support your digestion and energy and overall have positive influence of our body.

Here in Bulgaria, one of the most popular superfood is Chia ( tiny black seeds from the plant Salvia Hispanica). The chia is known from a long time- the seeds were imported to the Aztecs and Mayans, and were used the seeds as a currency and prized them for their ability to provide sustainable energy. Translated from the Mayan the word chia means “health”.
I start my day with 2 teaspoons chia combined with a glass of water, milk (yogurt) or smoothie. Two teaspoons ( around 20 grams) contains only around 100 calories and they are also high in calcium, omega 3, protein, dietary fiber, antioxidants, omega 6, zinc, potassium, copper, vitamins A,B,E and D, minerals, etc…. WOW too many healthy substances…
One little part of the benefits of the chia consummation: heart health, boost your energy and metabolism, stronger bones and teethes, build muscle and loss weight, digestive health, beautiful skin and aging, fight Breast and Cervical Cancer, help treat diabetes and many, many others influences of our body.
… that is the reason to consume these magical seeds, not only because they are delicious but also because make me stronger, healthier, and… more beautiful maybe .
