It took a long time for me to realize that the time is the most valuable currency that we use to pay for everything. I got very much concerned with it especially after watching the “In Time” movie that reflects “Time is money” saying in a very direct sense. In my opinion the movie has a lot of flaws but it can make you think about the value of your lifetime.

As soon as I got rid of materialistic behavior and stopped spending my lifetime in vain by paying for the stuff that wasn’t making me happy, I gained the ability to be pleased and satisfied with what I had and even realized that I had more than I needed.

So I started decluttering the stuff I didn’t actually need. It was the stuff I wasn’t using at all (or often enough) to spare a valuable space for it. I was shocked to see how many needless things I had but still it was a little hard to just throw them. I gave most of the things to other people who said they needed them and left only the essential things I was using on a frequent basis, and this is when I realized that having less stuff is better: there is less time spent on organizing your stuff and finding anything you need as well as maintaining the order and cleanliness (less stuff creates less mess). The final result is having more free time for more valuable things.

After all, I can say that a minimalistic life brings a simplified and stressless life.
