Today i got an invitation to the private premiere of "Mother" new film of an American filmmaker - Darran Arofosnsky in Paris, you probably know him , he is a genius and creator of many famous films , such as : requiem for a dream , black swan and many others. I have never been on these kind of events before , so i was really excited to be there. I met many celebrities , the most memorable were Lenny Kravitz and Jennifer Lawrence ,who is by the way one of my favorite actresses.
So , let's get straight to the movie.
I would say it is not for everybody. The genre of "Mother" is a psychological thriller with elements of fantasy. I am not a big fan of fantasy , but psychological thriller is definitely my cup of tea.
So ,let's finally talk about the plot of the movie - it's a story about the young family moving in the house , she is a housewife , he is a poet. One day a stranger came to their door saying that he is a doctor and he has no place to go , the poet proposed him to stay until he will find the way , then strange things started to happen and few days after the wife of the doctor moved in as well , saying the same as her husband. The wife of the poet started to say that this is absolutely inappropriate and she doesn't want anyone in her house , but he disagreed with her. After that , i have no comments , it keeps you under pressure until the very end and i could say
it is one of the strangest movie with the strong aftertaste , you just have to watch it. For the big lovers of psychological movies , i strongly recommend. It is worth it.
