Wanted to share with you that yesterday I have attended one of the most significant events of each and every Latvian - The 25th Latvian Song and Dance Festiva. The All- Latvian Song and Dance Festival has been held since 1873, normally every five years. Evening of the 7th of July united spectators with 15400 choir singers, 700 dancers and 1200 players of the orchestra. I hardly can explain the feeling that dwelled during the last song "Soul Song", it felt like our souls took each other hands and united in one invicible power. It felt like in those 5 minutes you saw in front of your eyes all pain and troubles that our nation faced during all those years in order to ensure our freedom and independance, to get us where we stand now. And then I felt tears, tears of happines and pride
During those hard times of poverty and economic crisis it is important to feel belonging, to see the smiles and feel yourself as integral part of the mechanism that would fight for the better times!
