That's just an example for you

Ladies,

since you are not active, I'll take courage to share the promises I've made to myself for this year. It's just your plans, goals, etc, if you are confused by the title of the task.

1. Take care of myself
Recover after the injury (it was quite bad, I'm out of active sports for another 6 months), rethink the way I live: what I eat, how much I sleep, how much time I spend in front of the computer.
I've already started to take actions in this field - installed an app that reminds me when to go to sleep and wakes me up just in the correct sleeping phase; visited the doctors to fix my back; scheduled an appointment with immunologist who'll analyse my blood and recommend on the way I should be eating to feel good. I've also destroyed all the alcohol Well, unfortunately for my health, it was the regular way.

2. Develop professionally
I'm reading a lot of materials that are essential for what I do; I'm also on my way to MBA. I spend a lot of time learning.

3. Enrich my mind
I promised myself to visit at least 5 new countries this year and read at least 30 books. Tickets to theaters and concerts are also bought for a month ahead.

4. Get rid of habits I hate
I've noticed that I can't really enjoy even 30 seconds of time with myself. Whenever I am in queue in some shop or even driving my car, I check my phone if there are some new notifications. I want to limit the amount of junk information that is flowing through me.

5. Filter my speech
I've noticed I am on a slippery way to curse on occasions, when obscene words are not really necessary.

6. Simplify consumption behavior
Every month I'm throwing away 10 items that I do not need. I want to consume emotions and experiences, not things I do not even need. This week I threw out 3 huge bags of clothes I don't wear. This isn't really 10, it's more radical, but it's the right way.

7. Stop being so grumpy and angry over things that don't really matter
As idiotic it may sound but I'm getting less and less touched by tiny little things and feeling happy is something I did not experience that often in 2013. In fact, during those 9 days of 2014, I've smiled more than throughout the whole December.

8. Head towards making money to work for me, rather than me working for money
Hope that my employer is not reading this but I'm getting more and more unhappy with the wheel of routine I am spinning in. I love my job, I really do, but work in general is one of the things that makes me unhappy.

Hope you are at least half that sincere and eager to share our plans and promised you made to yourselves.
