Remember I talk about MBTI in my blog yesterday?
Let’s me tell you what exactly it is now! (Actually, MBTI is one of the contents in my dissertation, maybe you will find the following text a bit academic lol)

Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI)
MBTI (Myers-Briggs) is a psychometric assessment designed to measure the psychological preferences of individuals and their perception to the world. It had been developed by Isabel Myers and her mother Katherine Briggs for forty years based upon the personality theories. MBTI is being widely used in the United States as a standard personality measurement.

Four opposite pairs of dichotomies were generated based on theory of psychological type suggested by Briggs and Myers, which are ESTJ and INFP.

Extrovert (E) versus Introvert (I): refers to the cognitive functions, which represents the attitude of individuals. Extroverts focus on the outer world by working on concert objects or operating with people. They are action-oriented and prefer collectivism. In contrast, Introverts work well with their own inner world by reflecting on abstract ideas or concepts. They tend to be thought-oriented and prefer individualism.

Sensing (S) versus Intuition (N): is responsible for perceiving functions, which is about how information is understood and interpreted. Individuals who rely on sensing prefer gathering tangible information by the five senses. They would like to obtain factual and quantitative data. Conversely, those who think by intuition tend to reply on subjective evidence which is more abstract or theoretical. They would like to draw conclusion based on intuitive information and interested in future possibilities.

Thinking (T) versus Feeling (F): represents the judging functions governing the structure of decision-making. Thinkers tend to come to decisions based upon logical and scientific evidence from a detached standpoint. On the other hand, feelers lay emphasis on the personal value and special circumstances, and then make decision by associating with the situation.

Judging (J) versus Perception (P): relates to the way or structure the individual dealing with the surrounding issues. For those who reply on judging, they trend to resolve the issues by taking promptly control. Individual who are perception-based tend to be more flexible and able to accommodate themselves spontaneously to the situation.

Go to the following link and take the MBTI test. It helps you know better about yourself.
