Let me tell you about my favourite soap opera. Actually, it's more like series. I prefer watching Russian series and therefore my favourite one is called "Molodezhka" or "Молодежка" (in Russian). If we translate the name into English, it means "The Teenagers".
Before explaining why it is my favourite series, I will tell you briefly about the plot. The series is about the hockey team of young players, who are advancing as the time goes by. In the first season, the boys are very young and for some of them hockey is nothing serious, whereas for others - it's the sport to live by. Their coach is not good enough to explain them that if they came to play hockey, they have to give everything or just leave. Time passes and a new motivated and goal-oriented coach comes who demands high performance and resistance from the team.
As the series advance, the boys come face to face with daily life problems like girls, family and money. They all soon start to realise that hockey became part of their lives and they cannot live without it. Throughout the series, the audience can see different situations that teenagers can face in their daily life. With each season, the guys grow and are forced to make hard "adult" decisions. There are 5 seasons of the series and I would never become tired of watching it, simply because all the situations are easily related to life. I never sensed fakeness and artificial play of actors.
The series is perfect to watch after a hard of work, because you don't need to use your brain a lot to understand what is happening and at the same time you cannot stop watching it because with each episode, the series gets more and more interesting and you are waiting impatiently for the date of the next episode. I advise everybody to watch it, it is suitable for all ages, even my father sometimes asks me to watch it with me. The main producer of the series is Fedor Bondarchuk - always a genius without a doubt!
