Not to compare yourself with others

I find it not an easy task as I thought. It will be easier if I am not pressured or under a certain condition, I can be aware and direct myself but how about acting unconsciously. Let me take an illustration. Suppose, if I get interviewed for a job or ask help from someone who is a higher position, and then I noted that I behave differently. If I explain something important stuff to the mediocre fellow then I feel smart. Basically different audiences’ cause me to behave differently. All this tells me that I am comparing myself subconsciously with someone else without even noticing myself. The tricky question is that what solution can I offer for this kind of deep subconscious rooted action?
First, of course, observe and be aware of own actions and reactions. Then what? Recently, I have read and gone through over 100 books on these subjects. Shall I try positive thinking? Yes, I can, but it will not plug out the root causes and only act something like a daily supplement in a gym. What are the real change and how to make re-coding the subconscious mind? What is the subconscious mind? It is our autopilot; the subconscious mind controls main functions in our body like breathing and heartbeats etc. Try this. Control your breathing for a minute, of course, you can with your conscious mind controlling your breathing just for a while, but when you let go of your focus then subconscious mind will take over again on this function. Same exact thing happens when you control not to compare with others you can consciously do it for a while but when you loosen your consciousness then subconscious mind takes over the control again and you will be noticed that you made same mistakes. I will share my experiences and findings in my next posts on this subject.
