Do you believe in guardian angels? There are such times, when one person has the strange feeling of power. You feel the energy of your guardian angel. All seems so easy. You feel immortal, daring and capable of taking any risks.
I had such feeling a few times in my life. With mixed outcomes...
Last time it happened I was driving between Torino and Milano at midnight. A beautiful straight motorway, a clear summer night, Surprisingly no traffic. I was all alone on the motorway. I could feel the deep vibrations of my motor, and the contact of the ground with the wheels. I saw the red lights of a car, far far away. I said to myself I can meet him in a few seconds if I wanted. And I pressed the accelerator to the end. My car pushed forward, things in the side became blurred. Strangely I could not catch up with that car. Like in a dream the red dots kept distant. I saw my car was about to reach the maximum speed.
But slowly the red dots ahead became car lights. The outlines appeared from the shadow. I was curious of what was going at that speed? Slowly I came closer, and I discovered the rough angles of a racing car. I was chasing the latest Lamborghini Aventador. The driver slowed down a bit to allow me to come at same level, saluted with a smile and accelerated. And quickly disappeared.
I looked at my GPS. it indicated a steady speed of 310km/h, like in a dream, the air was warm, I felt a superman for a few seconds
